The Cadillac is the tall frame with a table under it, springs and bars above, and it is the most adjustable piece in Pilates. Because it takes one person, a Cadillac session is a private one: fifty minutes on your body, at your pace, with the springs set for you. It is where an instructor can work around an injury or a limitation instead of around a class.

No. Every exercise is set for the person doing it, and a first class is spent teaching you the machine rather than pushing you on it.
